Walker Bay Fishing Trail!
At last the authorities that be have decided to give fishermen access to the Hermanus Plaat. The Overstrand municipality in conjunction with Cape Nature this week opened the Walker bay fishing trail giving the public access to popular angling sites along this stretch of coast.

The new trail will give anglers and all nature lovers access to popular fishing spots such as Diepolle, SopiesKlip, GrootDuifklip and KleinDuifklip. It begins at the reserve entrance next to Wortelgat, passing through the reserve to the first stop and parking area at the Polle. From here the route continues to SopiesKlip where beautiful rock formations make this an ideal picnic stop.
